Isha Ambani’s latest sari proves a six-yard in lace is a bridal must-invest piece for a sangeet or cocktail party. Read on to find out how you can recreate her look
Feminine and romantic, lace (and its many iterations) has always had a charm of its own, and seems to be becoming a staple at Indian weddings. The latest label to add the pretty fabric into their Indian ethnic creations is Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Earlier this week, Isha Ambani was spotted in a lilac and gold lace sari by the designer duo for the pre-wedding celebrations of Arjun Kothari, held at Mukesh and Nita Ambani‘s Mumbai residence, Antilia. During the celebrations, Ambani was also spotted greeting guests in a beautifully embroidered Anamika Khanna sharara-sari. If you prefer timeless silhouettes, however, her Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla number is the one you need to add to your own closet this wedding season. In the designers’ words, “Isha Ambani wears a powder lilac and gold, French Chantilly lace sari. The creation was lavishly embroidered in gold and silver zardozi, crystals, sequins and bugle beads to exceptional effect. She wore it with a tulle strappy, cold-shoulder blouse, encrusted with beads and crystals. The ensemble combines both exceptional craftsmanship and modern draping to create an impossibly romantic and elegant silhouette.” Take a closer look at it below.
Isha Ambani wore a diamond belt with her Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari
With her pastel drape, Isha Ambani went with eye-catching diamond jewellery. The entrepreneur topped off her floral lace sari with a diamond string necklace, matching earrings and diamond bangles. The highlight of her look, however, was her diamond belt, which immediately cinched the fabric in and highlighted her waist, and also added an extra touch of sparkle to her festive ensemble. Celebrity makeup artist Vardhan Nayak completed the dreamy look for Ambani by giving her a fresh base, accentuated with brown smoky eyes and soft pink lips. Her hair was left lightly tousled.
