It was about time this tragical yet sensational story of the Gucci family dispute and controversial murder got the silver screen validation. Last year, ‘The House of Gucci’ stole the spotlight of the big screens. Each unique character, their distinguished styling & clothing, with the perfectly crafted backgrounds created a new buzz and hype. This biopic is based on Sara Gay Forden’s meticulously researched non-fiction book – The House of Gucci. It can be described as thrilling story which compiles murder, madness, glamour and greed in the language of luxury fashion. It takes our attention back to the execution style of Maurizio Gucci and the fate of the brand following his murder. Maurizio was the last of the Gucci family dynasty to run the luxury fashion house. His shocking mystery murder was driven by the tragic love story of Maurizio Gucci and Patrizia Reggiani giving goosebumps to the audience. The portrayal of these characters real life through the maestros of power pack performances sets a very bar high.
Playing the lead role of Maurizio Gucci- the grandson of the founder Guccio Gucci and son of Rodolfo Gucci. He was also the last member of the Gucci family, helming the iconic brand. His Italian slim-cut tailormade suits takes us back in 70’s fashion era paired with vintage big square frame spectacles, intricate printed pocket squares and broader ties matching with formal Italians jackets. Dressed in chic winterwear, riding bike in snowy mountains or cycling in suits around the streets of Milano sipping on espresso, this hot anticipated character directed by Ridley Scott takes the vintage Italian fashion back to its reality. Adam’s hairstyle and face is an uncanny resemblance of Maurizio Gucci. The right balance of blues, beige, grey and tobacco browns sets the era perfectly well, blending classic Italian men’s wear fashion.

Jared LetoComparing the current life of the actor, it almost felt like a complete 360 degree turn, seeing Jared play Paolo Gucci. This character is a strong resemblance of rejection, struggle and failure in the movie. But here we pause and reboot his appearances for the promotion of the movie where he strokes the code and calls it by a pet name Jesus. He made a dazzling, pretentious red carpet presence in the sequined cowl neck with golden boots and mustard velvet suit covered with off white fur coat. He was dressed in regal Gucci created by the current throne holder of the brand Allessandro Michele. He is the creative head of Gucci currently. During the promotion tour Jared broke the rules of sticking by his low self esteemed role of Paolo in the movie and gave good reminder to the viewers of what transformation can look like.
