Cool styling tips for Holi 2021
The festival of colours ‘Holi’ is just around the corner and it’s time to dive into a pool full of water, plays with balloons and colours. It’s the day to have fun and forget everything else. Gujiyas and colours aside, Holi is also a day to look your quirky best. People usually don’t want to flaunt new clothes on this day and often wear old ones only that they don’t mind ruining with colours. But the country’s love affair with Bollywood has over the years inspired people in buying clothes especially for the festival of colours.
Since the past few years, people are going for a new look and outfit instead of donning the old outfits at the Holi party. But this year, due to the pandemic, Holi gatherings have been cancelled just like the previous year. Well, that doesn’t have to spoil your mood of getting ready and celebrating at home. Right? One of the easiest Holi outfits can be a denim teamed up with a long kurta. All you have to do is pick any of your old denim and team them up with a plain or self-printed kurta. A white coloured kurta is always preferable for Holi as multiple hues of gulal can be prominently visible on a white outfit. If you don’t want go for a kurta, then you can also opt a nice white T-shirt.
Well, it’s sunny out there already and there can’t be a better day to flaunt your favourite pair of sunnies. Be it aviators, wayfarers or any other type, an eye accessory will not only make you look stylish but also protect you from the scorching heat.
For an out of the box look, you can do is just tie your hair with the help of bandana.
Make sure you wear comfortable footwear as chances of the floor getting slippery with water play are high.
You can add a style statement to your look by trying out a different pattern kurta instead of going out for a classic plain one. Like an asymmetrical kurta, achkan style kurta etc.
Many of you would end up flaunting a vest, we know! And hey, why not? But don’t forget to apply sunscreen on your hands in order to stay away from unwanted tanning.
