Apple iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max may come in the darkest black colour variant yet
There is a flurry of iPhone 13 rumours right now. Chances are the majority of them are going to be right, and, in that case, we get to picture what the next iPhone will look like. A previous rumour had suggested that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models would come in a matte black colourway. The source that tipped that, is back with more information to reveal. This time, the matte black finish on the Pro models is going to be a lot darker.
According to some renders of the iPhone 13 series that YouTuber Filip Koroy posted, this year’s iPhone models will have the sheer black paintjob in one of their variants. The source of the information, however, is the renowned tipster Max Weinbach, who claimed that the matte black colourways of the iPhone 13 series will be much darker than the Graphite colour variants of last year’s iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. That is an interesting thing to look forward to because of how Apple has pitched the black colour variants as something that would go with the jet-set lifestyle.
The YouTuber said that the black colour of the matte black finish on the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be pretty much near the Hex colour code 121212. This is darker than the black shade that you see on the Space Grey colour variant of the iPad and MacBook, which is the darkest colour option in the current Apple line. With matte black on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, Apple will be offering the darkest paintjob there is for the colour black.
Some previous rumours around this matte black colourway said that the colour on them would be borderline black but there would not be any glossy finish. Moreover, the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max will have a stainless steel coating to minimise fingerprints and smudges, whatever the fewer of them there will be, thanks to the matte finish. Of course, there will be a horde of colour variants for the iPhone 13 series.
In terms of features, the Apple iPhone 13 series is going to have some radical changes to the display. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will come with an advanced 120Hz ProMotion Display that Samsung is reportedly manufacturing for Apple. This is going to be an LTPO OLED display that will consume less power while delivering high refresh rates. The other two iPhone 13 models may just support the regular 60Hz refresh rate. Apart from that, the entire iPhone 13 lineup is going to come with a sensor-shift stabilisation feature on the camera. Last year, only the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max had it. The sensor-shift stabilisation technology essentially offers better stabilisation and images with more sharpness.
Apple is holding the WWDC 2021 today, June 7 at 10.30 pm IST, where it is likely to announce iOS 15, macOS 12, new watchOS and tvOS, along with possibly the refreshed MacBook Pro.
